Nothing says glamour quite like vintage Hollywood. The look is elegant sophistication and opulence, both rich and sensual. The creative team of Grier Cooper Photography and Maria Bartolome of By Your Side Events produced a look that incorporates elements from 1950s Hollywood with a fresh modern twist for a unique concept.

Set against The Seminary at Strawberry, a Marin County wedding venue built in the 1950s and once considered for the headquarters of the United Nations, the bold aqua and coral color palette is balanced with a muted splash of champagne. Vintage table top decor from Francis Lane creates a luxurious tablescape. A true retro look-paper florals from Susan Bonn Designs-completes the tableau.

The clean lines of the bride's gown, a classic strapless silk from Atelier des Modistes, is embellished with decorative buttons and bow details up the back. Subtle pearl earrings, a peek-a-boo veil and graceful pale blue leather heels with an etched floral design, complete the look. The bride's reception gown, also from Atelier des Modistes, was a contrasting black silk with embroidered floral design and the groom's newsboy cap and suspenders created his timeless look..

The jewel-toned crostini and individually-served shrimp cocktail from All Seasons Catering are a feast for the eyes, as is the colorfully decadent cake from MiGoodies Bakesale.

This concept captures yesterday's sophistication with a nod to the vibrance of today, proving that classic elegance is always in style.
